Our Creation

Welcome to world of Susmita Lahiri. This is a online saree store, where you will have both my own creations, as well as my collection of other sarees too. The clothing line mainly focuses on cotton/handloom sarees from Bengal. It also has a collection of silk and other fashionable sarees. The store has been satisfying its customers in India and abroad, for the past 17 years. Time has changed and so has the way of business. Keeping pace with time and also per customer demand from all over the world, came the idea of online store. Susmita Lahiri also customizes it's products, according to its customers choice. Besides, we are just introducing a concept, where you don't have to keep your sarees waiting for its next turn. We have given a thought, where a saree once worn by you, can easily become a Dhoti for men, draped in various style, keeping your saree intact. We have provided images of our experiment, where a saree is worn by a woman and the same saree has been worn as Dhoti by a man. Three segments have been created , to ease the purchase of its customers.

Susmita Lahiri

Susmita Lahiri is very common name. I am just like any of you; Studied and started my career with a job in a computer firm. My love for creativity, has made me venture in many creative fields – from ad making to graphic designing and getting involved in television media too. While I was in the television media, all of a sudden I received an opportunity to design sarees for a TV programme. With no idea in this sector, I poured my love for creativity into designing sarees, which sold like hot cakes all over India within a short span of time. My speciality is mainly Taant and hand block prints. I like to dress my clients in simple but eye-catching sarees and am trying to revive various old art forms of India using sarees as my canvas. I hope to get your love and blessings in this new venture of mine.
